Mirante de Loriga (Loriga Viewpoint)

It is a small stone viewpoint, also known as "Mirante do Olho" (Eye Viewpoint), that allows visitors to experience the sensation of being suspended above the valley.

From here it is possible to see an open slot in the granite profile caused by the force of the glacier, as well as to observe the S. Bento Valley, the three rocks called “Penhas Gato”, “Abutres” and “Fraga das Águias” that support the mountain massif. Still to be highlighted in this rich landscape are its famous agricultural terraces.

It is a geossite of the Estrela Geopark (POP14).
