Torre Plateau

The Torre Plateau, formerly known as Malhão da Serra, refers to the highest point of mainland Portugal, reaching 1,993 metres of altitude. Marking the spot there is a geodesic stone landmark, rebuilt in 1949, which reaches 2,000 metres in altitude. This area, being a very humid flat surface, is particularly favourable to snowfall.
