Casal do Rei Wood

This wood is inserted in the Natural Park of Serra da Estrela, with an area of about 20 hectares. It is inserted in a steep slope and of north exposure, located in the opposite side to the village of Casal de Rei and limited to the north by the Loriga stream. This botanical reserve should be visited due to the richness and diversity of fauna and flora that has not been significantly altered by human activity and is mostly constituted by shale terrain.
