Alva River

With its source located on the northern slope of Serra da Estrela, at about 1,600 meters of altitude, the Alva River is an affluent of the Mondego River. Along its course, before reaching the municipality of Arganil, you can enjoy a stunning and rich landscape, among agricultural fields, dams, streams and an abundant diversity of riverside fauna and flora, including the small islands where vegetation regeneration occurs.
