São Romão Church

Is located at the center of the old nucleus of the village, in a place that allows a bigger panorama over the valley of the Forcadas stream. This Church was until the date of construction of the Divina Pastora Church, in 1950, the parochial Church. Painted in white, it exhibits in its façade by granite pinnacle. Close to the left of the façade, it possesses a tower, over a belfry with two bells, where it is visible an inscription with the date “1847”. In the interior, the temple of unique nave exhibits a ceiling with wood. Choir and high altar proceeded by a triumphal arch with perfect turn, laded by two retables. The left side elevation presents, in addition to the granite baptismal font, a wooden pulpit based on a granite corbel.
