Lagoa Comprida

This lake built from a natural lagoon is situated at 1600 meters altitude and is the main water dam of Serra da Estrela. In its waters flow two channels, one with 2354 meters called Covão do Meio, which diverts the water from the slopes of the Torre Plateau, and the other Covão dos Conchos with 1519 meters, which diverts the waters of Ribeira das Naves. It is one of the most emblematic places of Serra da Estrela. This point of interest is 7.9 km away from the Mountain Village of Sabugueiro.

It's a geossite (GF4) of Estrela Geopark.
