Covão do Urso

Situated in the stream of Covão do Urso, upstream from the Mountain Village of Sabugueiro, is a wide depression of glacial origin. With a characteristic "U" shape, Covão has an important set of glacial deposits, called moraines, of which stands out on the north side, a lateral moraine with a length of about 3 km.

It's a geossite (GF3) of Estrela Geopark.
