The Vale do Alva is a valley of stunning beauty formed by the Alva River, that originates in Serra da Estrela. It is characterized by its clear and fresh waters, its green terraces and for the rich and abundant flora and fauna found in the riverside area. Following the course of the Alva River to the Mondego River, we encounter the river beaches of São Gião and Avô.
