Chapel of the Mártir or St. Sebastian Chapel

Next to the manueline pillory, this is a very old chapel. It is believed that the old Chapel of the Mártir or S. Sebastian Chapel, demolished in 1887, would be more or less located, where the current one is today. Inside, the Baroque altar stands out.

The image of St. Sebastian is a target of great devotion on the part of the population, making it part of the festive calendar. The festivities of St. Sebastian usually take place each year on the 20th of January, or on the closest Sunday.
