The landscape of terraces is an example of a cultural landscape, that results from the effort and ingenuity of people to obtain a greater and better agricultural use. In fact, over the course of several generations, the locals have carried out an extraordinary work in the building of arable land levels supported by stone walls, as well as of various support structures for agricultural activity, such as straw, threshing floors, mills, watermills, weirs, and irrigation levées, for the irrigation of the fields. In the surroundings of the village of Cabeça, although at present many of these fields and structures are abandoned, a relevant terraced area is still preserved, of which the Várzea site stands out for its landscape and typical features. To enjoy this landscape, it is recommended to take the Terraces route (PR3 - SEI).
