Comborço’s Viewpoint

From the Comborço viewpoint you will observe a wide panorama, from the valleys of the Vila Chã and Cortiçô streams to the foot of Serra da Estrela, in the East and South quadrants. From this location, the profile of some of the highest points of this mountainous system is easily recognizable, with emphasis on Penha dos Prados, Santinha and Penha dos Abutres, in Serra da Estrela, and Monte do Colcurinho, in Serra do Açor.

In the lower altitudes, the landscape is controlled by a flattened surface cut by the Mondego river and its tributaries, which is called the Platform of the Mondego River.

It is a geossite of the Estrela Geopark.
